FLASH
Flash are pre-drawn tattoo designs which I’m happy to book anytime!
Browse available designs in my flash book or on the Instagram page @sarahgal_flashTo claim a design, please email me with a screenshot and/or description of the flash with your placement and size ideas, if you have any.
CUSTOM
Custom designs are client ideas which I draw specially for them.Around the end of each season I will “open books” and share a custom tattoo request form to my email subscriber list and Instagram page. Books are usually only open for day or two, so be sure to sign up for newsletters or watch my Instagram stories to find out which date to get your ideas in.
I have limited space for custom so will prioritize projects that align with my style and strengths.

LEADING UP TO APPOINTMENT
Protect and prepare your skin leading up to an appointment for best application and healing results.
-Drink plenty of water
-Wear sunscreen (we can’t tattoo over sunburnt skin)
-Moisturize with lotion daily
-Gently exfoliate your skin a couple of days prior to the appointment
-Trimming thick hair which covers the general tattoo area is appreciated
-Shaving before appointment isn’t necessary
DAY OF APPOINTMENT
Get a good rest, drink lots of water and avoid alcohol the night before your appointment. We require you eat a good meal before coming in to avoid lightheadedness, fainting and general feelings of tiredness, coldness, shakiness or anxiety during the appointment.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing which easily exposes the tattoo area. Bring something warm as well in case you get chilly.
You are also welcome to bring:
-Water, drinks and snacks. We have goodies at the studio in case of need
-Headphones, a book, entertainment pillow, pictures of your pet (to show me), etc. -
*Do not expose your healing tattoo to direct sunlight or soak in water during the first 2 weeks of healing*
Wear the clear bandage for at least 24 hours and up to 4-6 days.
*If the bandage is causing your unworked skin feel hot, irritated and red, remove immediately.Removing the bandage while you shower works best. Allow warm water to run over the bandage to loosen up the adhesive, then slowly and gently work the bandage off while holding the surrounding skin taught.
Gently wash the tattoo with clean hands, lukewarm water, and plain fragrance-free soap, then pat dry with clean paper towel or let air dry. Continue this method of washing once per day for the next 1-2 days.
Apply a light layer of plain fragrance-free lotion when the tattoo looks dry or feels tight/itchy. Do not oversaturate the healing skin.
Let flakes and scabs fall off in their own time for optimal healing. The tattoo scabbing process normally needs around 2 weeks to form and heal. Raised lines and packed areas may need 1-2 months to fully settle into the skin. Continue to moisturize your tattoo indefinitely to encourage a vibrant and healthy appearance for years to come.
Exposing healed tattoos to direct sunlight may fade the ink, so make sure to wear SPF 30+ sunscreen over your tattoo every time you get sun exposure. *Only expose your new tattoo to sunlight and sunscreen post-healing.
